Goal Achieved: We Own A Rental!!!
Yes, it is true. After a closing that was so messed up and convoluted that I need a drink to even be able to write about it properly (aka another time than now), we have closed on our rental home. I wish I could say there was lots of joy and excitement at the big moment but, due to the aforementioned nonsense that we endured, it’s more of an “Oh good, it’s done.” But, it is done and it is mostly over. 🙌
We went to the home today and made a list of stuff we needed as well as a list of stuff the builder needs to fix. I was just sitting on the counter and looking around when I realized that we owned this whole other place. I spent my childhood wanting desperately for my mom and me to get a house (she got a house when I was in college and it’s awesome) and now I own two of them. 😱 Really blows the mind a bit. Even with all the fuckery at the end, it’s still a huge and awesome thing.
It’s listed now, so here’s to a new house and, hopefully, some cool renters soon.
