We’re Buying A House!!!
That’s right! We are officially under contract for a new home. Construction will be done next year, so we are going through the fun of construction once again.
This home will be an upgrade to where we are now and will also be a good amount bigger. More space, a bigger kitchen, and no rear or side neighbors. Yay for fewer people! It is also in the same area as our rental so that makes that easier as well. There is also the potential to be much closer to a future community for me as well. Who knows?
Our plan is that once this home closes, we will do a few upgrades (floors, paint, custom shelving, etc.) and then move in. Then we will sell our current home and use the profits from that to pay off the rental. In the end, our monthly payment for the new home will be lower or equal to what we pay for both mortgages right now. Which, considering how much bigger this place is and that the location & the lot are both a lot better, makes this a big win for us.
And there you have it. We’re buying a house. Yay!
