Top 10% of US Income By Age
Back to that Fool.com article. Now we’re looking at the Top 10% and 1% by age this time. They broke it down into six age groups so here are the incomes for the top 10%:
- Under 35- $122,000
- 35-44- $210,000
- 45-54- $255,000
- 55-64- $250,000
- 65-74- $188,000
- 75 and older- $128,000
It is kind of crazy that last year we made more than every age group. It was a very good year. Definitely not being duplicated this year though, that’s for sure.
Now here are the same six age groups but for the Top 1%:
- Under 35- $225,000
- 35-44- $656,000
- 45-54- $1,313,000
- 55-64- $1,191,000
- 65-74- $1,013,000
- 75 and older- $463,000
Well, that was quite a jump from the Top 10%. Looks like, while we are in the Top 1% right now since we are under 35, the second we turn 36, that ends. In my current position, I have no means that I am aware of to make over $656K. That number is insane to me. And that is the lowest point. It just goes higher from there. 😱
That’s Top Income by Age. Kinda crazy for sure.
