This Is The 100th Post
On July 24th, 2018, I posted my very post here on From One Geek to Another. Now, over three years later, we have reached the 100th post!!!
I started FOGA as a way to track our path to financial independence, and to hold myself accountable for it. I am not sure if I thought I would still be at it over three years later. Thank you all so much for reading, commenting, and being awesome.
Since I didn’t do anything (because I was busy surviving) for the second or third anniversaries, let’s take a look back over the last three years.

This list is interesting to me. They have a few things in common. All but one of them were featured on another website/blog- ie. Rockstar Finance (back when that was a thing) or Women’s Personal Finance. Three out of five of them were written after I came back from my hiatus. Two out of five were written in a rage; I’ll let you guess which ones. All of them, I thought no one would like/care for once I hit publish. Shows you what the hell I know, right? 😂

Of course, my favorite post is D&D related. That was pretty much given. 🤣
The others were all big moments in the past few years for me. Mr. FOGA’s retired (his words not mine), and the mortgage is going down (it’s actually lower now). The very first time I wrote about having depression. Little did I know at the time that it would become a trend. And, lastly, Twitter is awesome and my friend goes to court next month.
The Three That Needed To Be Said
Quite frankly, in the last two years, we have had enough “unprecedented” shit to last a lifetime. And that’s on top of the crazy bullshit that is life on an everyday basis. These three I just felt needed to be mentioned. They aren’t my favorite things I’ve written, but they all felt important to say and share. Two out of three are something to remember every day. One I hope, beyond all hope, becomes irrelevant soon. 🙏🏾
